TO ALL ANIMAL LOVERS
Did You Know:
- A house-boat inhabited by cats (the so called POEZENBOOT) is moored by the Singel canal in Amsterdam?
- The foundation POEZENBOOT takes care of 70 abandoned and neglected cats?
- Every admitted cat will be neutered, so that the stray-cat problem is dealt with energetically?
- At your request our vets will castrate or sterilize wild stray-cats, after which the animals will be replaced in their gardens when people will take care of them.
- The foundation POEZENBOOT is financing castration and sterilization projects in Amsterdam in order to reduce the number of newborn stray-cats?
- The expenses of all these activities are increasing enormously? The sterilization costs amount to €65 ($75 US), and for castration to €40 ($57 US).
PLEASE HELP US!
Come visit the POEZENBOOT, where the cats have the space to move around freely. The boat is moored by the Singel, opposite number 40. The boat is open to the public from 1 to 3 p.m. Come and see for yourself the service and the care we offer to the animals.
Please make a donation so that this initiative can be continued. This work has been carried out for over 37 years by Miss H. v. Weelde and 34 years on the boat.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
There are far too many wild stray-cats (cats who are born outside and who are living outside) in Amsterdam. People often treat them badly, they hunt the cats or chase them away. There is no place for them. In case your cat is not neutered, please don’t let him/her wander about, please let him/her be helped by our vets so you can’t be held responsible for more homeless cats. Otherwise the stray-cats (and the next wild generation) will multiply enormously in a short time. Help us to prevent more misery for more (wild) stray cats.
